Celtics The 1975-76 Celtics were a team expected
to excite, and they certainly didn't disappoint, providing
fans of the Green and White with what is now called by many
"The Greatest Game Ever Played" -- a 3OT win over Phoenix
in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics celebrate that
game with this special section.
HOCKEY
Boston
Bruins Since the team's first season of NHL
action in 1924, many players, coaches, and general managers
have pledged their loyalty to the black and gold. In doing
so they have made their mark on Boston Bruins' history.
Over the years, nine players have been honored by having
their numbers taken out of circulation, and five teams have
earned the right to skate with the Stanley Cup.
Providence
Bruins The Providence Bruins and Hartford Wolf
Pack wrapped up their 10-game season series on Wednesday
night in Hartford, with the Bruins skating to a 3-2 victory.

a team season-high 23 shots on goal in the second period
of the contest.

Umass
The University maintains its long tradition of balance between
academics and athletics. In the classroom, UMass has produced
more Atlantic 10 all-academic performers over the last eight
years than any other league school, and has led the conference

seven times in that time frame. Massachusetts continues
to set new school records for the number of student-athletes
earning at least a 3.0 G.P.A.

THEATRE
American Repertory Theatre The American
Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) is a not-for-profit resident
theatre, founded by Robert Brustein, which has been active
since 1966 as a professional producing organization and
a theatrical training conservatory. In its twenty-second
season operating in association with Harvard University,
the Theatre draws its wide-ranging repertory from new American
plays, neglected works from the past, and classic texts
re-examined through unconventional productions
Beau Jest Beau Jest is based in Boston,
where new works are premiered before being toured to theaters,
colleges, and festivals around the country. The company

known movement theater artists, making Beau Jest a center
on the East Coast for the promotion of physical theater
Boston Rock Opera Boston Rock Opera
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting
original adaptations of classic rock opera, conceptual rock
and new works.
Huntington Theatre Company The resident Huntington Theatre
Company has staged the groundbreaking work of playwrights
like August Wilson and revived classics like Sidney Kingsleys
drama "Dead End." However, steer clear of troublesome balcony
seating if you want to enjoy these impressive acts.
Wang
Theatre Wang Theatre offers clear sight lines,
amazing acoustics, masses of marble, velvet, brass, and
leather make the entire Wang experience a pleasure. The
theater tries to keep some lower cost seats for every performance,
and you can often score a ticket to a big Broadway show
for under $20. However, those sitting in the lofty balcony
run the risk of being sucked out of their seats into the
vacuum of the Wang's space.
LOCAL CASINO'S
Mohegan
Sun On Mohegan Sun Boulevard, and at the north
entrance to the casino, you will find Mohegan Sun rocks.
In the Mohegan language, "sun" means "rock." Traditionally,
our leaders are called either Sunjum (Sachem), which signifies
a male head chief, or Sunqsquaw, which signifies a female
chief. Sunjum and Sunqsquaw translate to mean "rock man"
and "rock woman." The word "Mohegan" means "Wolf People."
Our Tribe is the ancient Wolf Clan of the Lenni Lenape Indians
who traveled from the Southwest to the Northeast across
a Great Fresh Water and a Great Desert to reach Upstate
New York.
Foxwoods Casino
The symbol of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is a
reflection of the past. The tree, perched on a rocky knoll
and framed against a clear sky, represents Mashantucket,
the "much wooded land" where the people hunted and prospered.
